Tools for Teaching

Welcome to my Curriculum and Pedagogy Teacher Toolkit.  I am a 2024 graduate of the Master of Arts in Teaching at Colorado College's Education Department and a 2023 graduate of Colorado College with a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a minor in German. This website is a collection of my pedagogical knowledge and tools that I have gathered as an educator, based on my continuously growing disposition as a teacher. My philosophy as an educator is that every single student has the undeniable ability to grow and learn and an inherent right to safety, joy, and belonging in the classroom. Through trauma-informed and restorative practices, I strive to celebrate the identities and gifts that every student brings to the classroom to create an empowering space to learn from each other. Read more about my teacher disposition below.

Teacher Disposition

Read my Umbrella Goals to understand my teacher disposition.
I have developed 9 Umbrella Goals I want my students to achieve by the end of my year with them. My goals and their respective paths to achievement reflect my teaching values and disposition. I believe that education is a civil right and that we must ensure that every student has the right to an equitable and empowering education. As a teacher, I want to lead from a space of deep love and care, in which students foremost feel safe and respected, giving them the tools to achieve passionate self-love and empowerment in themselves and their identities. From here, my students will be able to engage and invest in their journey as lifelong learners.

Visual Exploration of My Teacher Disposition

Through my experience learning about inclusive pedagogies in curriculum, my peers and I have reflected in visual notebooks to find our dispositions as teachers and create new knowledge. Check out a few of my visual notebook reflections on inclusive methods of curriculum and the classroom.
